It's impossible to choose when you don't even know what your choices are.

Read below to learn everything you need to know when applying to college and how to build your college list.

1. Try to decide on a major. If you don’t know what you want to do just yet, that’s okay. Choose colleges that have a lot of options for majors or ones that have options that you think you might be interested in.

3. Think about location and methods of transportation. Going to school close to home means that you could save money.

2. If you are able, go on tours of the schools you’re thinking about applying to. It will help you to get a sense of what the campus is like, which could help you make a decision in choosing your school.

4. Think about campus culture and campus life: Resources, clubs and organizations, sports, and other aspects of the social aspects of campus. You’re about to spend 2-4 years at this school, so it’s important to find a campus where you can easily make friends, find fun things to do, and support when you may need it.
